- With your engineering expertise and innovative mindset, you will play a key role in developing competitive products in line with the Vaillant Group New Product Development Process, contributing to product quality, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- You will leverage your expertise in mechanical design to develop 3D designs of products and components, perform tolerance analyses, optimize designs for manufacturability, and manage product validation processes. As a Core Team Member, you will represent the design team throughout all phases of product development projects and coordinate design and development activities in line with project objectives.
- You will lead product development activities from the definition of customer and technical requirements through component selection, mechanical and industrial design, FMEA studies, verification testing, and product validation.
- Throughout the product lifecycle, you will drive engineering change management and product improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturability, efficiency, and cost performance.
- Working closely with Quality, Certification, Production, Testing, Spare Parts, Sales, and other stakeholders, you will ensure the timely and successful execution of project activities.
- You will contribute to technology research, product benchmarking, technical knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives, while supporting compliance with relevant standards and Vaillant Group management systems.
What makes us successful together
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred and will be considered a strong asset for this role.
- Experience: At least 5 years of R&D experience in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry. Proven experience in product development, project management, and design processes will provide you with the opportunity to join our dynamic team.
- Knowledge and Competencies: Proficiency in MS Office applications and preferably familiarity with SAP and PLM systems, strong knowledge of FMEA, engineering change management, product validation, and problem-solving methodologies, advanced experience with 3D CAD design tools, particularly Creo, and expertise in mechanical design, tolerance analysis, and plastic and metal component development processes will enable you to make a meaningful impact in this role.
- Language Skills: Good command of English, enabling effective communication and collaboration in an international business environment.
