Senior React Developer

For our client, we are looking for a Senior React Developer to join a long-term fintech customer portal modernization project based in Vilnius, Lithuania.

You will work on the development and evolution of modern, scalable frontend applications using React and TypeScript, with a particular focus on Micro Frontend architecture. The role involves both hands-on development and active participation in frontend architecture and technical decision-making.

You will collaborate closely with backend developers, QA engineers, UX/UI specialists, architects, product stakeholders, and other frontend engineers to deliver maintainable and high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong React expertise with sound engineering judgment, understands the challenges of modular frontend architectures, and is comfortable taking ownership of solutions from design through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• Build and evolve applications based on Micro Frontend architecture.
• Contribute to frontend architecture, technical design, and implementation decisions.
• Develop reusable, maintainable, and well-structured UI components.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with established engineering standards.
• Identify and address frontend performance, usability, and reliability issues.
• Write and maintain automated tests for frontend functionality.
• Participate actively in code reviews and help maintain high code-quality standards.
• Collaborate with UX/UI specialists to translate designs and user requirements into production-ready interfaces.
• Work closely with backend developers, QA engineers, architects, and product stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in technical discussions, backlog refinement, estimation, and delivery planning.
• Support continuous integration and delivery practices for frontend applications.
• Troubleshoot production and development issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.
• Share knowledge with other engineers and support less experienced team members when appropriate.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve frontend architecture, development practices, and engineering efficiency.

Essential Requirements

• Strong professional experience with React.
• Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript knowledge.
• Practical experience designing or developing solutions using Micro Frontend architecture.
• Solid understanding of component-based frontend architecture and reusable UI development.
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS and modern frontend development practices.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs or similar backend services.
• Good understanding of application state management and frontend data flows.
• Experience with automated frontend testing and maintaining testable code.
• Good understanding of frontend performance optimization.
• Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices in modern software development environments.
• Ability to contribute to architectural and technical decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical tasks.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience implementing Micro Frontends across multiple independently developed applications or teams.
• Experience with design systems or shared component libraries.
• Familiarity with accessibility and cross-browser compatibility practices.
• Experience working with modern frontend build and development tooling.
• Understanding of application security considerations relevant to frontend development.
• Experience with containerized or cloud-based development environments.
• Previous experience working on complex customer-facing platforms.
• Experience mentoring developers or leading frontend technical discussions.
