Senior React Developer (Legacy Modernisation)
Summary
Modernize a legacy enterprise frontend by migrating an Objective-J/Cappuccino app to React, maintaining and extending features while improving the codebase.
The platform is a long-established, business-critical application built using Objective-J and the Cappuccino Framework. The next phase of the programme is focused on gradually migrating the frontend to React.
The client isn’t expecting someone who’s spent the last five years writing Objective-J. They’re looking for a strong React engineer who is comfortable understanding an existing Objective-J/Cappuccino codebase, making changes where required, and helping drive the migration to React over time.
What you’ll need:
Strong commercial experience with React
Excellent JavaScript / TypeScript skills
Experience working on large enterprise or legacy applications
Experience modernising or migrating legacy systems
Exposure to Objective-J, Cappuccino or similar legacy frontend technologies
Employment type: gig-contract (Diia City)
Working hours: 40 hours/week
Paid vacation: 18 working days per year
