Senior React Native Engineer

This is a hybrid role (in office Tues, Wed, Thurs) based in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate level system analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications and databases.
• Integrate third‑party products.
• Translate technical specifications into code for moderately complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients.
• Write programs, develop code, test artifacts, and produce reports.
• Employ software development techniques to ensure that tests support automation.
• Elevate code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule.
• Provide follow‑up production support and submit change control requests and documents.
• Follow software development methodology and architecture standards.
• Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues.
• Participate in systems analysis activities and special projects.
• Understand client business functions and technology needs and relate them to Vanguard’s tools and applications.
• Learn and comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ related work experience, with at least one year of development experience.
• Experience with React Native.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Proficiency with React Native application development, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and demonstrate a hands‑on understanding.
• Understanding of design patterns, integration patterns/practice, data modeling principles and best practices.
• A good track record of project delivery for large cross‑team projects.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with engineers, managers, PMs, and customers.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated experience with software engineering fundamentals including object‑oriented design, data structures, dependency injection, testable code, and algorithms.
• Latest React Native.
• CI/CD Pipeline (GitHub Actions / Fastlane).
• Git (GitHub).
• Honeycomb.
• Splunk.
