Senior Resident Engineer (M&E)
Job Description
- Lead and manage the M&E site supervision team for major building construction, utilities installation, and testing & commissioning works.
- Monitor, supervise, and inspect works in accordance with directions from the Client, QP(MEP), and project consultants.
- Plan and manage supervision team shift rosters based on project schedules while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and staff welfare requirements.
- Work closely with QP(D) and QP(S) to resolve design, construction, and technical issues related to temporary and permanent works.
- Administer contracts and oversee project execution in accordance with Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC).
- Coordinate multidisciplinary construction activities and lead the resolution of integration and interface issues across various trades and work packages.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, quality control procedures, construction administration processes, and progress reporting requirements.
- Promote and enforce Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) standards across all site activities.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore.
- Preferably accredited as a Registered Resident Engineer (RRE) with the Institution of Engineers, Singapore (IES).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in M&E building services within the construction industry, including at least 8 years on projects of similar size and complexity.
- Experience in major building construction projects, utilities services installation, testing, and commissioning works.
- Proven experience leading and managing site supervision teams on large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration under PSSCOC.
- Proficient in multidisciplinary coordination, interface management, and resolution of cross-functional engineering issues.
- Conversant with statutory codes, site supervision requirements, quality control procedures, construction administration, and progress reporting.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) and/or Licensed Plumber certifications are advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and health standards, with familiarity in WSH procedures and applicable airport requirements.
