Senior Reviewer - Code & Web Templates
Summary
Review code and web templates for technical quality, security, and marketplace standards; provide feedback and uphold quality benchmarks across WordPress themes, plugins, and UI components.
You'll review and assess code and web template submissions across categories like WordPress themes, plugins, scripts, UI templates and frontend components. You'll evaluate technical quality, functionality, security, performance, accessibility and documentation. You'll identify submissions that don't meet marketplace standards and provide clear constructive feedback. You'll escalate complex or high-risk items, contribute to review documentation and standards, and support your team's shift to a skilled cross-functional review model.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess code and web template submissions against technical, quality, usability, documentation, security, and commercial standards
- Identify and reject submissions that do not meet marketplace standards
- Identify complex, ambiguous, or high-risk submissions and escalate them to appropriate stakeholders
- Support calibration activities and contribute to review documentation, category standards, and technical benchmarks
- Identify recurring contributor issues and opportunities to improve review quality, efficiency, and consistency
- Stay current with modern web development practices, WordPress, JavaScript frameworks, UI/UX trends, and AI-assisted development
- Partner with Content Operations leaders and support team knowledge sharing and reviewer development
Requirements
- Strong full-stack development background with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress themes and plugins, scripts, and web templates
- Strong understanding of WordPress ecosystems including template hierarchy, installation workflows, customization, dependencies, and common marketplace quality issues
- Strong understanding of clean code practices, file organization, naming conventions, documentation standards, version compatibility, and user setup experience
- Ability to identify common technical risks including broken functionality, poor code structure, weak security practices, performance issues, and unsupported dependencies
- Strong eye for commercial quality, customer value, modern design execution, and marketplace relevance
- Ability to use AI-assisted tools to support review throughput, code analysis, and workflow efficiencies
- Ability to make consistent, objective, and well-reasoned review decisions across multiple asset categories
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions clearly and professionally
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify technical and quality issues quickly
- Comfortable maintaining strong quality standards while meeting productivity and turnaround expectations
- Ability to collaborate with global teams in a remote environment
- Fluent or strong professional proficiency in English
