Staff Domain is partnering with a global engineering and construction firm specializing in large-scale industrial and mission-critical infrastructure projects. The organization is known for integrating advanced BIM workflows with in-house fabrication, automation technologies, and end-to-end project delivery across design, manufacturing, and installation.
What You Will Do
- Lead and manage Revit MEP models with a primary focus on HVAC piping and HVAC-R systems for large-scale, complex projects.
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate detailed Revit HVAC pipework models, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project standards.
- Define and enforce BIM execution plans, modeling standards, and Level of Development (LOD) strategies.
- Drive design-to-fabrication workflows, ensuring HVAC piping and mechanical system models are fully constructible and fabrication-ready.
- Oversee HVAC piping, ductwork, and spool modularization strategies to support efficient fabrication and installation.
- Integrate BIM models with CNC machines, robotic welding systems, and profile cutting technologies.
- Support fabrication tracking systems, including QR/barcode labeling and production status monitoring.
- Collaborate with fabrication and project teams to resolve clashes, tolerances, constructability concerns, and sequencing challenges, particularly for HVAC piping systems.
- Manage coordination workflows using Revit, Navisworks, and point cloud data.
- Lead clash detection processes and ensure timely issue resolution across multidisciplinary models.
- Support full project lifecycle delivery, from concept design through fabrication, installation, QA/QC, and as-built documentation.
- Mentor and guide MEP Draftspersons and BIM Technicians, particularly in Revit HVAC piping modeling best practices.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabrication teams, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of HVAC and mechanical system projects.
Requirements
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who:
- 5+ years of hands-on Revit MEP experience, with a strong specialization in HVAC piping and HVAC-R systems.
- Minimum 2+ years of dedicated HVAC piping drafting and modeling experience using Revit.
- Proven experience creating, managing, and coordinating Revit models for HVAC piping projects within the HVAC, mechanical, industrial, or refrigeration industries.
- Strong proficiency in Revit Pipe, Revit MEP, and HVAC system modeling, including fabrication-ready deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience working in the HVAC industry, with a clear understanding of HVAC system layouts, pipe routing, coordination, and installation requirements.
- Proven experience managing Revit models at scale for complex projects.
- Strong understanding of MEP construction, HVAC piping fabrication workflows, and constructability requirements.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to translate engineering design intent into accurate fabrication-ready outputs.
- Comfortable working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments.
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience with fabrication-level Revit HVAC piping models, spool drawings, and pipe prefabrication workflows.
- Experience with large-scale ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Background in industrial facilities, cold storage, food processing facilities, data centers, or large-scale HVAC projects.
- Experience working with American or European firms with in-house fabrication capabilities.
- Exposure to full lifecycle delivery: design → fabrication → installation → QA/QC.
- Familiarity with automation tools, robotic welding, and fabrication data ecosystems.
Key Client Preference
- Strong Revit expertise is the top priority.
- Candidates must have substantial hands-on experience with Revit HVAC piping (Revit Pipe) and HVAC-R systems.
- Experience specifically within the HVAC/mechanical piping industry is highly preferred over general MEP experience.
- Candidates with proven HVAC piping modeling, coordination, and fabrication experience will be prioritized.
