Senior Risk Analyst
Summary
Senior Risk Analyst builds and validates credit risk models, produces risk reports, and ensures data quality for a UK real-estate bank using SQL, Power BI, and IFRS9 frameworks.
A key role in providing analytical support and assistance to the Models & Analytics Manager. The role supports credit decisioning models with data analytics, data mining and statistical analysis; produces regular credit risk reporting packs with insightful analysis in line with Group standards; champions credit data quality initiatives internally to support the effectiveness of overall analysis and reporting; supports the Credit Risk team in their reporting activities and ad hoc projects to ensure the effective management of credit and risk issues; and supports the management of Impairment with monthly controls and oversight.
Experience
- Strong aptitude for working with data, undertaking analysis, interpreting and presenting results and making recommendations
- An ability to work to a high standard of accuracy; present information in a logical and professional format
- Good understanding of accounting / financial information and the ability to interpret data
- Understanding of Real Estate Banking finance products
Technical
- Solid understanding of tools and infrastructure at the forefront of reporting and analytics
- Experience delivering analytics with Power BI, Ultrix or Tableau
- Experience of working with credit decision models and working with third-party data vendors
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server, SAS and Python would be beneficial
- Excellent Excel skills
- Knowledge of IFRS9, PD, LGD models
- Skilled with visual design / data presentation
