The TSB Integration is one of the most exciting Programmes of work to be undertaken across the TSB and Santander businesses and this role is to join a team of great individuals already collaborating on it with the objective of Creating the Best Bank for Customers in the UK

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

The Integration Programme is looking for a Risk Manager based out of London or Milton Keynes.

The Risk Manager will work across all aspects of the Programme to provide support to the workstream/transversal leads in addition to the 1st line risk representatives aligned to the workstreams.

The Risk Manager will have accountability for ensuring that Risks and Issues that require escalation to senior stakeholders are visible and that there is strength in the mitigants/actions being taken.

They will support the workstreams with execution against the Programme Risk Management Framework and also be responsible for ensure any changes to this are communicated effectively to all workstreams leads.

They will provide guidance to workstreams on Santander Risk Management adherence.

They will attend the Programme Risk Forum and the Assurance Action Management Group and ensure papers are prepared and issued in good time to attendees.

They will also work with 2nd and 3rd lines of defence and actively manage and track through any actions as a result of formal/informal reviews, whilst supporting co-ordinated engagement into the Programme.

They will have an understanding of all previous correspondence issued to the Regulators, ensuring a joined up narrative, and prepare briefing documentation required. In addition they will track delivery of committed regulator actions and ensure applicable workstreams have these within these workstream plans

They will also support any regulatory updates required for Exco/Board/SPC and prepare required briefing materials.

They will design and implement Programme Controls and ensure these are effective in mitigating Programme risks.

  • A working knowledge and understanding of GenAI tools – PERMANENT DEVELOPER ROLES ONLY

  • Support on Risk/Issue Management to all Programme workstreams/transversals

  • Deliver quality briefing materials for Risk Governance meetings

  • Track and monitor completion of risk related actions

  • Ensure appropriate quality of risks logged working with 1st line risk colleagues

  • Own and manage Programme Controls

Professional Experience

  • Deep knowledge of the Santander Risk Management Framework (Required)

  • Experience of working in a major Change Programme (Required)

  • Communication to senior stakeholders (Required)

  • Experience of dealing with our regulators (e.g. FCA/PRA) (Required)

  • Understanding of the Santander Controls catalogue

Languages

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and high-quality materials for senior leadership, audit and regulatory audiences (required)

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal capability, able to influence, challenge and align stakeholders through a range of approaches to drive delivery and effective outcomes (required)

  • Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across multiple business divisions, in complex and high-pressure environments (required)

  • Strong prioritisation and decision-making skills, with the ability to focus effort on activities that deliver the greatest value and risk mitigation within demanding timelines (required)

  • Demonstrable experience working within audit and regulatory frameworks, including supporting internal and external audits and ensuring programme outputs meet regulatory expectations (required)

  • Highly agile and adaptable, able to respond quickly to change, navigate ambiguity and maintain control in a fast-paced programme environment (required)

Salary Range:
£76,385.00 - £114,577.00 per annum (depending on experience)

This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
