Senior Roadway Engineer | Discipline Project Lead

Position Summary


We are seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer / Discipline Project Lead to lead roadway plan production while collaborating with Project Managers. This role focuses on managing technical scope, production, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as roadway discipline lead for ODOT, county, and municipal transportation projects

  • Lead roadway plan development and production efforts

  • Coordinate with bridge, drainage, traffic, and utility disciplines

  • Lead internal and external design coordination meetings

  • Provide mentoring and technical oversight to roadway staff

  • Review and stamp roadway plans as Engineer of Record when required

  • Oversee QA/QC reviews and design risk management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 15+ years of roadway design experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Experience serving as technical lead on transportation projects
  • Strong knowledge of ODOT standards and roadway production workflows
