The Senior Administrative Coordinator role is responsible for the training and coaching of staff on systems, processes, and procedures. This role provides informal leadership and direction to two national administrative roles: Administrative Assistants and Administrative Coordinators by leading skill development across the team and supporting the growth of staff through ongoing coaching and mentorship. Additionally, the role will support implementing and continuously improving workflows, procedures, and processes, and will provide quality assurance reviews for the admin team members.

How you will create impact:

  • Provide direction to staff in unusual and urgent situations using proven or alternative resolutions. Determine action on situations where solutions would be outside procedure.
  • Use audits effectively to deliver coaching and mentoring on successes, as well as opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide required support that includes database administration, outlook lists, spreadsheets, assessments and word processing
  • Ensure service levels monthly are adhered to, and provide to Team Leaders any applicable non-compliance escalations
  • Act as the subject matter expert on special projects including impacts to admin tasks and procedural changes and develop ongoing project plans, procedures and processes
  • Participate in process improvement activities and ensure team members are adhering to these improvements.
  • Identify impacts of new programs or systems enhancements on existing admin procedures and workflows and recommend changes to improve efficiency.

To join our team:

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in the insurance industry or a related field in an administrative capacity
  • You demonstrate successful experience in coaching, developing others with a positive focus on skill development.
  • Ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to coach and mentor others according to their learning style.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to practice effective time management and prioritize work based on competing priorities and task urgency

Expected salary/hourly range $50,280.00 - $83,800.00

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.”
