Senior RTO Engineer
Qualifications and experience
Minimum of 10+ years' work experience in the field of advanced process control & real time optimization.
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Master's degree is preferable.
Hands on experience for commissioning APC controllers in refining, petrochemical and polymer process units.
Hands on experience in steady state process simulation models in refining, petrochemical and polymer process units.
APC implementation experience in Yokogawa APC software PACE would be an added advantage.
Required competencies / skills
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Good leadership skills.
Knowledge of working on DCS platforms.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
Ability to identify the potential areas and benefits for applying real time optimization control for various process units and specify the hardware/software architecture to carry out APC implementation.
Develop steady state simulation model of process plants - refining, petrochemical and polymer process units.
Carry out RTO CV & MV implementations starting from control definition, functional design specifications, plant testing, detailed engineering, site integration, SAT, commissioning, post audit and PGTR.
Multiple project coordination and provision of technical and managerial support for the successful completion of large RTO projects for various process plants, as well as the ability to lead a team of APC consultants.
Provide advisory and maintenance support including carrying out modifications to the control strategies and carry out the required RTO training to plant operators & engineers.
