Senior Rust Engineer

Summary

Build high-performance Rust systems for AI infrastructure, including model serving and distributed services, in a fast-growing startup.

We’re partnering with a fast-growing AI infrastructure startup that’s building foundational tooling for the next generation of AI applications. They’re looking for a Senior Rust Engineer to help build highly performant systems that power AI workloads at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build high-performance backend systems in Rust.
  • Develop low-latency, highly reliable services that operate at large scale.
  • Build infrastructure for AI model serving, inference, routing, and distributed systems.
  • Optimize performance, memory usage, and concurrency across critical services.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to rapidly ship production-ready features.
  • Drive architectural decisions and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Rust.
  • Deep understanding of systems programming, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with LLM infrastructure or AI platforms.
  • Familiarity with model serving, inference engines, or API gateways.
  • Experience working with high-throughput, low-latency systems.
  • Previous startup experience.
