Senior Sales Engineer (Materials & Metrology)
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by promote Materials and Metrology solutions in alignment with the company's business strategy and market direction.
- Monitor market trends, customer investment plans, emerging applications, an competitive activities to identify new business opportunities and support strategic business planning
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation, technical discussion, solution proposal, quotation, specification negotiation, commercial condition alignment, purchase order follow-up, delivery coordination, and customer acceptance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with semiconductor end users, research institutes, universities, manufacturing customers, strategic accounts, and distributor partners.
- Ability to work closely with company cross functional internal stakeholders, including application specialists, service engineers, R&D teams, Overseas factory to clarify customer requirements and deliver comprehensive technical and commercial solutions.
- Support and participate in marketing activities, including exhibitions, seminars, product demonstrations, technical presentations, workshops, and customer training programs to strengthen company brand awareness and market presence.
Preferred Experience and Competencies
- Experience with semiconductor and materials characterization technologies such as Photoluminescence, Raman spectroscopy, Ellipsometry, Particle Inspection for Photomask, Surface Analysis, or other advanced metrology and analytical techniques will be advantageous.
- Experience working with semiconductor fabs, compound semiconductor manufacturers, research institutes, universities, or advanced manufacturing customers is preferred.
- Project management experience in tracking customer requirements, technical clarification, installation schedule, acceptance criteria, and cross-functionalaction items is preferred.
- Strong ownership and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to independently drive opportunities from initial customer engagement to successful order acceptance.
- Commercially sensitive and customer-oriented, with the ability to balance customer requirements, business objectives, profitability, and company strategic direction.
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, orapplication-based sales, preferably involving semiconductor metrology, analytical instruments, inspection systems, failure analysis, quality control, or materials characterization solutions
- Experience in managing direct end-user sales processes, including customer discovery, solution proposal, quotation preparation, specification negotiation, commercial discussion, and sales closing.
- Experience in managing distributors, including sales planning, opportunity review, forecast tracking, customer follow-up, and long-term relationship development.
- Have the ability to understand customer technical and application requirements and recommend suitable semiconductor metrology, inspection and analytical solution.
- Self-motivated, mature, proactive, and able to work independently while coordinating with internal teams, customers and distributor partners.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits, business meetings, exhibitions, and other business activities across Southeast Asia.
