Position Summary
Experienced and results-driven National Accounts Senior Sales Executive to lead the development, growth, and management of strategic relationships with national insurance carriers, brokers, agencies, and other key industry partners. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth across large, complex accounts while building long-term partnerships and identifying opportunities to expand the organization’s presence within the insurance market, supporting non-standard insurance products to include Private Passenger Auto and Commercial Vehicle.
The ideal candidate combines strong insurance-industry expertise with consultative selling skills, executive-level relationship management, strategic account planning, and a proven track record of exceeding sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and executes comprehensive sales strategies for assigned national accounts and alternative distribution accounts.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with senior executives, decision-makers, and key stakeholders across insurance carriers, brokers, agencies, and related organizations.
- Identifies new business opportunities within existing accounts and develop strategies to expand market share and revenue.
- Prospects and cultivates relationships with new national account insurance organizations and strategic partners through collaborative periodic check-ins, on-site visits, performance reviews, and other events.
- Manages complex, business development opportunities through contract negotiation and implementation in collaboration with internal departments/teams under the guidance of senior leaders.
- Develops action plans, sales forecasts, pipeline strategies, and revenue projections for assigned accounts.
- Partners closely with executive leadership, marketing, operations, product, implementation, and customer success teams to deliver solutions aligned with account needs.
- Prepares, supports, coordinates and conducts presentations, business reviews, product training and meetings.
- Monitors market trends, competitive activity, regulatory developments, and emerging needs within the insurance industry as it relates to assigned accounts.
- Serves as a trusted advisor to agency partners by understanding their business objectives, operational challenges, and strategic priorities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, opportunity updates, and account activity.
- Represents the organization at industry related conferences, trade associations/shows, networking events, and agency partner meetings.
- Develop and communicate regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Performs others duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably within the insurance, financial services, technology, or professional services industries.
- Demonstrated experience managing national or enterprise-level accounts with complex organizations.
- Established relationships with insurance carriers, brokers, agencies, or other insurance-industry stakeholders strongly preferred.
- Proven record of achieving or exceeding revenue and sales targets.
- Strong consultative, solution-oriented sales approach.
- Experience with sales strategies, sales support systems, strategic account planning, contract negotiations & management, and enterprise procurement processes.
- Excellent executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple internal teams.
- Strong foundational background using various business software and tools to include interpreting business reports. Must have Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, OneNote, and other related knowledge.
- Willingness to travel as required for account meetings, industry events, and business development activities up to 50% of the time.
