As a prime integrator, we have a team capable of conceptualizing and laying out complex systems, and completing detailed design engineering, procurement, and field installation across various project platforms. Our commitment to integrating excellence throughout the project life cycle sets us apart, delivering automation solutions to businesses ranging from local service providers to international logistics giants.
About the role:
What you'll do
- Own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and qualification through to close and handoff — with zero hand-holding required
-
Identify, target, and aggressively pursue new business opportunities within the post, parcel, and e-commerce fulfillment verticals
Build and maintain a robust, self-generated pipeline; never rely solely on inbound leads
-
Develop and nurture C-suite and operations-level relationships at postal operators, parcel carriers, 3PLs, and e-commerce distribution centers
-
Position and articulate complex material handling solutions — including conveyor systems, sortation, automation, WMS/WCS software, and full system integration — to technical and non-technical stakeholders
-
Lead consultative discovery sessions to understand client operational challenges and design compelling, ROI-driven proposals
-
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and implementation teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and deliverable
-
Travel extensively (up to 75%) across a national territory to meet prospects, conduct site surveys, and close deals in person
-
Accurately forecast pipeline, update CRM in real time, and report on territory activity and deal progression
-
Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events
Embrace and promote by incorporating into your work the core values of Aegis:
1. Professionalism: Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Everyone is accountable for their work. Above all, respect others.
2. Customer Focus: Always work to exceed customer expectations.
3. Collaboration: Share ideas; train and mentor others to your level. Improve one another.
4. Take it Personal: Complete every task as if your reputation depends on it. Because it does!
5. Make it Better: Ask yourself, “What can I do to make our company better?”
6. Open Minded: Look at the possibilities and think outside the box. Embrace change.
- 8+ years of direct B2B sales experience specifically within the post, parcel, or material handling industry — no exceptions
- Proven, verifiable track record of closing six- and seven-figure deals in a complex, long-cycle sales environment
- Deep knowledge of material handling systems: conveyors, sortation equipment, automated storage/retrieval, pick-and-pack automation
- Working knowledge of WMS, WCS, and system integration methodologies
- Demonstrated hunter mentality — the majority of your wins must be new logo/new business, not account maintenance
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% nationally with minimal notice
Preferred Requirements
- Existing executive-level relationships with major postal operators, national parcel carriers, or large 3PL networks
- Experience selling installation and commissioning services alongside capital equipment
- Familiarity with ROI modeling and financial justification for automation investments
- Background in solution/consultative selling methodologies (MEDDIC, Challenger, SPIN)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field — or equivalent industry experience
Non-Technical Attributes:
- A self-starter who needs no external motivation to fill your calendar with prospect meetings
- Competitive by nature — you keep score, you know your numbers, and losing a deal drives you to work harder
- Technically curious — you can walk a plant floor, understand what you're seeing, and translate it into a business case
- Credible and polished in front of both plant managers and C-suite executives
- Resilient and persistent without being obnoxious — you know when to push and when to play the long game
- Organized and disciplined in your pipeline management; you treat your CRM as a strategic weapon, not an admin burden
