Senior Salesforce Administrator (m/f/d)
Are you an experienced Salesforce professional with a strong understanding of system administration, configuration and process optimisation? Do you enjoy translating business requirements into effective technical solutions?
In this role, you will play a key part in the day-to-day administration and optimisation of our Salesforce platform, while also taking ownership of minor functional developments. Working closely with internal stakeholders, external service providers and Salesforce partners, you will help ensure efficient business processes, high data quality and excellent support for our users.
Key Responsibilities
Take responsibility for the day-to-day administration and configuration of Salesforce, including user management, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, custom fields, page layouts and validation rules
Design, create and maintain complex, declarative automations using Salesforce Flows, as well as maintain existing legacy automations
Independently carry out minor development tasks and system adjustments, including simple Apex triggers, Apex classes and Lightning Web Components where declarative tools cannot provide the required solution
Work closely with external service providers and Salesforce partners on the design and implementation of complex solutions
Coordinate structured bug tracking and resolution through support and ticket management
Perform data imports, exports and bulk updates using tools such as Data Loader
Ensure high levels of data quality and consistency while complying with data protection regulations, including GDPR
Provide first- and second-level support to Salesforce users, carrying out error analysis and proactively resolving system and integration issues
Plan, test and deploy Salesforce releases three times per year
Maintain and refresh sandbox environments
Create and maintain system documentation, process descriptions and training materials for end users
Act as a key interface between business requirements and their technical implementation within Salesforce
Experience & Qualifications
Degree in (Business) Computer Science, Business Administration with an IT focus, or a comparable qualification; equivalent relevant professional experience will also be considered
3–5+ years of proven, hands-on experience in Salesforce administration and customisation, preferably within a dynamic corporate environment
Fluent German and professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Practical experience with declarative Salesforce development, particularly Salesforce Flows
Basic knowledge and initial practical experience in programmatic Salesforce development, such as Apex, Visualforce or Lightning Web Components
Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, data models and security concepts, including sharing models and permission structures
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex business processes and translate them into efficient technical Salesforce solutions
Basic understanding of interfaces, APIs and data flows between Salesforce and other systems, such as ERP systems, marketing automation platforms or data warehouses
Experience providing functional guidance and coordinating external developers and IT service providers
Structured, independent and solution-oriented approach to work, with a strong focus on quality
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-IT colleagues
