Senior Salesforce Developer (AgentForce)
Description
12 Month contract
600 a day Inside IR35
Location - London/Hybrid
We are looking for an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to take a leading hands-on role in the continued development and enhancement of a multi-org Salesforce estate.
The organisation currently operates two Salesforce orgs, supporting Sales Cloud and FinancialForce, with finance processes spanning both the sales ledger and general ledger. Service Cloud is also used within the contact centre environment, although development supporting circulation is predominantly managed by an outsourced development partner.
A key focus for this role will be the organisation's growing use of Salesforce Agentforce. We are therefore particularly interested in developers who have gone beyond theoretical exposure and have personally designed, built and implemented Agentforce agents into a production environment.
- Act as a senior hands-on developer across the Salesforce estate.
- Design, build, test and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL and Salesforce APIs.
- Develop and enhance solutions across Sales Cloud and the wider Salesforce platform.
- Support and develop integrations between Salesforce, FinancialForce and other enterprise systems.
- Take a leading role in the implementation and development of Agentforce, including designing and deploying AI agents for real business use cases.
- Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into appropriate technical Salesforce solutions.
- Balance custom development and declarative functionality, including Salesforce Flow, selecting the right approach for each requirement.
- Maintain good development standards around testing, security, source control, deployment and technical documentation.
- Review the existing Salesforce estate and identify opportunities to improve scalability, performance and technical quality.
- Work effectively alongside internal Salesforce resources and third-party/outsourced development teams.
- Strong commercial experience as a Salesforce Developer, ideally operating at Senior Developer level.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Good knowledge of SOQL, Salesforce APIs and integration patterns.
- Strong experience of Sales Cloud.
- Experience working within complex or multi-org Salesforce environments.
- Practical experience designing and implementing Salesforce integrations.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data models, automation and platform best practices.
- Experience working with modern development/deployment practices such as Salesforce DX, Git and CI/CD.
- Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy within a relatively small internal Salesforce capability.
This is an important requirement. Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Agentforce agents, ideally through to production.
- Experience identifying and designing suitable agent use cases.
- Experience configuring topics, actions, instructions and guardrails.
- Understanding of how Agentforce interacts with Salesforce data, automation, APIs and existing business processes.
- Ability to discuss what they personally built, the business problem it addressed and how the agent was tested and deployed.
- FinancialForce / Certinia experience, particularly around financial or accounting processes.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with finance, ERP or general ledger platforms.
- Service Cloud knowledge.
- Experience within contact centre environments.
- Relevant Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I / II.
This would suit someone who is more developer than administrator and is comfortable being one of the organisation's key Salesforce technical SMEs. They should be able to get hands-on with code while also challenging requirements, recommending the right technical approach and helping shape good Salesforce development practices.
