Senior Salesforce Developer
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Salesforce Developer who is, first and foremost, a strong day-to-day coder on the Salesforce platform and on top of that brings solid architectural judgement, the ability to author HLDs and LLDs, and a track record of making sound design choices across Sales Cloud and Service (Support) Cloud. You will spend a significant portion of the week writing production code, designing and building features end-to-end, while also owning the technical direction, architecture, quality, and developer experience of the team building alongside you. You will personally deliver the most complex and high-leverage features, lead a team of Salesforce developers, set engineering standards, and partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate complex, cross-functional requirements into robust technical implementations spanning custom development, integrations, and contact center technologies. You will also drive the team's adoption of AI-assisted and vibe-coding workflows so that we ship faster without compromising on quality, security, or governor-limit hygiene.
What You Will Do
Architecture, HLD & LLD
Author and own High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) for major initiatives — data model, object relationships, sharing & security, integration topology, sequence diagrams, and release strategy Drive design choices and trade-off decisions: declarative vs programmatic, sync vs async, build vs configure vs buy, single-org vs multi-org, sharing strategy, large-data-volume patterns, and managed-package compatibility
Own end-to-end technical design across Sales Cloud and Service (Support) Cloud — leads, opportunities, accounts, cases, knowledge, omni-channel routing, entitlements/SLAs, and CTI/contact-center surfaces
Define and enforce engineering standards: code quality, test coverage, code review rigor, branching strategy, CI/CD, and deployment hygiene
Lead architecture reviews, RFCs, and technical deep-dives across squads; unblock developers on hard technical problems Hands-on Feature Development
Personally design, build, and ship features end-to-end on the Salesforce platform — own delivery of the most complex, ambiguous, or high-leverage modules from spec to production
Write and review production-grade Lightning Web Components, Apex classes, triggers, asynchronous patterns (Queueable, Batch, Schedulable, Platform Events), custom objects, and Visualforce where required
Build and maintain robust Apex test classes, LWC Jest tests, and integration tests; hold the bar on coverage, edge cases, and meaningful assertions — not coverage-padding
Apply object-oriented and domain-driven design principles to keep customizations modular, testable, and within governor limits at scale
Design and govern Salesforce configurations — flows, validation rules, permission sets, sharing rules, and custom Lightning components — with a config-first mindset
Debug, profile, and harden production code: governor-limit violations, SOQL/DML inefficiencies, large-data-volume issues, and integration failures
Own the delivery lifecycle for your features: estimation, breakdown, implementation, code review, deployment, post-release monitoring, and bug triage
Integrations
Architect and own secure system integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce Connect, Platform Events, and middleware platforms
Lead integration of IVR and telephony call flows across multiple applications, ensuring reliable routing, observability, and graceful failure handling
Design and implement Consumer Services journeys across self-service and contact center channels, instrumented for measurable outcomes AI-Assisted Development & Vibe Coding
Champion adoption of vibe coding workflows across the team — using AI coding agents to go from intent and prompt to working, reviewed, production-grade Salesforce code
Be hands-on with the latest AI-based coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Devin, and similar) for Apex, LWC, flows, and integration scaffolding; evaluate new tools as they ship and roll out what works
Define guardrails for AI-generated code on Salesforce: prompt patterns, review checklists, test-first prompting, security/PII handling, governor-limit safety, and managed-package compatibility
Build internal accelerators — prompt libraries, AI-driven code review bots, scaffolding agents, and reusable LWC/Apex templates — to compound the team's velocity
Measure the impact of AI tooling on cycle time, defect rate, and review throughput; iterate on the workflow based on data, not vibes alone Mentoring & Stakeholder Collaboration
Mentor junior and mid-level Salesforce developers; run code reviews, pairing sessions, and technical brown-bags
Partner with business stakeholders, product, and architects to scope projects, surface trade-offs, and translate needs into pragmatic technical solutions
Represent the Salesforce engineering team in cross-functional forums — sprint planning, design reviews, incident reviews, and roadmap discussions
What You Bring
Must Have
Minimum 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, with day-to-day coding still being a core part of the role
Deep, current proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SOQL/SOSL — able to write, debug, and review production code on a daily basis
Strong architectural knowledge on Salesforce — proven track record of authoring HLDs and LLDs, and making well-reasoned design choices and trade-offs at module and system level
Hands-on production experience with Sales Cloud (leads, opportunities, accounts, forecasting, CPQ-adjacent flows) and Service / Support Cloud (cases, omni-channel, knowledge, entitlements/SLAs, CTI)
Strong grasp of Salesforce data model, security model, sharing & visibility, governor limits, and large-data-volume patterns
Production experience with Salesforce Lightning Experience, Salesforce DX, sandbox strategy, and CI/CD for Salesforce (e.g., SFDX + GitHub Actions/Jenkins/Copado)
Strong working knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven integration patterns, and at least one middleware platform
Demonstrated experience leading technical design and mentoring developers on a Salesforce team
Hands-on, day-to-day exposure to vibe coding and AI-assisted development — comfortable driving meaningful work through tools like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalents, including prompt design, agent workflows, and reviewing AI-generated code with a critical eye
Strong working knowledge of Git, trunk-based or GitFlow branching, and modern code review practices Good to Have
Salesforce Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or System Architect certifications
Experience with contact center, IVR, or CTI integration projects at scale
Experience building internal developer tooling, AI agents, MCP servers, or RAG-based assistants for an engineering team
Exposure to LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, and AI-tool governance in a regulated or enterprise environment
Foundational
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead independently and operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Strong written and verbal communication — able to drive alignment with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders
