Senior SAP ABAP Developer
Summary
Senior SAP ABAP developer building S/4HANA solutions using RAP, CDS Views, and OData services while adhering to Clean Core principles.
We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP/BTP Developer to work on a strategic SAP S/4HANA implementation project using a Greenfield model. The professional will be responsible for developing robust solutions, following Clean Core principles, with a strong focus on modern technologies within the SAP ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop ABAP solutions tailored for the S/4HANA environment
- Design and implement applications using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), an essential requirement for this role
- Develop and optimize OData services, covering both V2 and V4
- Work with advanced CDS Views, including annotations, associations, and extensions
- Apply performance best practices tailored to SAP HANA
- Ensure adherence to Clean Core principles, applying In-App and Side-by-Side extensibility when applicable
- Participate in technical definitions and contribute to solution architecture discussions
- Analyze and resolve findings from code quality tools such as ATC, and provide technical support during testing and go-live cycles
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in ABAP development
- Proven experience working on SAP S/4HANA projects
- In-depth knowledge of the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
- Experience with CDS Views (Core Data Services)
- Experience with OData Services, mainly V4
- Strong knowledge of performance optimization for SAP HANA
- Experience with code quality tools, such as ATC and Code Inspector
- Knowledge of Clean Core principles
- Strong written and spoken proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience working on Greenfield projects
- Knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
- Experience with Fiori for building user interfaces
- Knowledge of In-App and Side-by-Side extensibility approaches
- Knowledge of Integration Suite for managing integrations within the SAP ecosystem
