About the role
At The Whiteam Consulting we are looking for a Senior SAS Programmer with 4 years of experience in corporate environments for data processing, integration, and exploitation. The position is oriented towards the development, maintenance, and optimization of SAS processes, as well as the automation of data loads and the performance improvement of analytical solutions in business environments.
We seek professionals with solid knowledge of SAS programming and experience in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and managing large volumes of information, capable of guaranteeing the efficiency, stability, and quality of production processes.
What you'll do
Development, maintenance, and optimization of data processing and transformation processes using SAS.
Advanced programming with SAS Base, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS Viya.
Development and maintenance of SAS code using DATA Step, PROC SQL, and Macros.
Design, execution, and optimization of ETL/ELT processes and integration of different information sources.
Management of libraries and datasets, as well as maintenance and exploitation of large volumes of data.
Automation of processes, execution of batch loads, and maintenance of production processes in Linux/Unix environments.
Performance analysis, code debugging, and optimization of SAS queries and processes.
Incident resolution and technical support in production environments.
Collaboration in modernization and migration tasks of data platforms, including Cloud environments.
What we're looking for
Minimum experience of 4 years in SAS programming and development.
Solid knowledge of SAS Base, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS Viya.
Experience in SAS programming using DATA Step, PROC SQL, and Macros.
Experience in the development, maintenance, and optimization of data processing and transformation processes.
Knowledge of information source integration, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and exploitation of large volumes of information.
Experience in optimization and automation of SAS processes, code debugging, and performance analysis.
Knowledge of library and dataset management.
Experience in incident resolution, maintenance of production processes, and execution of batch loads in Linux/Unix environments.
Knowledge of SAS Data Integration Studio and SAS Management Console.
Residency in the Basque Country, preferably in Bizkaia, as occasional visits to the offices may be necessary.
Nice to have
Experience in SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Data Quality, SAS 9.4, and SAS Viya.
Knowledge of SQL, Python, and Git.
Experience in Data Warehouse architectures.
Knowledge of integration with Oracle, Teradata, or SQL Server databases.
Experience in data platform modernization projects or migration to Cloud environments.
Official SAS certifications.
