Overview
MSQ DX is seeking a Certified Senior Scrum Master to join our growing delivery organization. This role supports multiple Agile teams across concurrent projects and plays a key leadership role in driving Agile and Lean practices at scale to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery outcomes.
The Senior Scrum Master is engaged from project inception through delivery and serves as a servant leader, coach, and change agent. This role partners closely with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to improve delivery execution, team maturity, and cross-team coordination in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Senior Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams across concurrent projects, facilitating all core Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Own sprint capacity planning across assigned teams, actively managing sprint velocity, commitments, and delivery predictability
- Track and maintain sprint deliverables aligned to PI Plan roadmaps, proactively identifying cross-project risks, dependencies, and delivery impacts
- Partner with Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to support delivery across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and dependencies
- Lead and facilitate scaled Agile events, including PI Planning, cross-team planning, delivery synchronization, dependency management, and system-level Inspect & Adapt sessions
- Enable teams to adopt Lean thinking and flow-based delivery, leveraging Kanban practices and visual management to continuously optimize throughput and reduce bottlenecks
- Coach teams, leaders, and stakeholders on Lean, Agile, Scrum, and SAFe principles, driving higher levels of team autonomy, accountability, and performance
- Drive and facilitate effective retrospectives, ensuring continuous improvement actions are identified, owned, and executed
- Act as a change agent and mentor, supporting team maturity, organizational Agile adoption, and continuous improvement across the delivery organization
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of professional experience and education
- Experience at a digital agency strongly preferred, but not required
- 10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile delivery leader in complex environments
- Proven experience supporting multiple Agile teams and concurrent project delivery within large, matrixed organizations
- Experience working within SAFe, the Kanban Method, or hybrid Agile frameworks
- Demonstrated experience supporting or launching Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and facilitating PI Planning at scale
- Strong hands-on experience with sprint capacity planning, velocity management, delivery forecasting, and dependency management
- Experience leading or contributing to Agile transformations at scale
- Experience transitioning teams or organizations from Waterfall to Agile is a strong plus
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, SAFe SSM/SPC, or equivalent)
- Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication, presentation, coaching, and leadership capabilities
