Senior Scrum Master
Salary: $170,000 – $180,000 per year
THE OPPORTUNITY
I'm currently recruiting a Scrum Master for a leading financial services business, offering an opportunity to take ownership of Agile delivery across a key program.
Working closely with a supportive manager, you'll play a key role in establishing and embedding Agile practices, coordinating multiple teams and ensuring software development remains focused, accountable and on track, you will be a superb communicator with an ability to pull everyone together in the same direction.
This role would suit an experienced Scrum Master who enjoys bringing structure to delivery, facilitating collaboration and challenging teams constructively to achieve outcomes. This is a true Scrum Master role and it is important that candidates have operated as a dedicated Scrum Master previously.
THE ROLE
Establish and maintain Jira boards, workflows and Agile frameworks to support effective delivery.
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Coordinate multiple teams, ensuring priorities, dependencies and delivery milestones are clearly understood.
Work closely with software development teams to monitor progress, remove blockers and maintain accountability.
Challenge teams constructively where delivery commitments or timelines are at risk.
Improve Agile ways of working, team collaboration and delivery transparency.
Partner with stakeholders and leadership to communicate progress, risks and issues.
Work alongside a supportive manager to drive Agile delivery across a key program.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Proven experience as a Scrum Master role.
Experience working with Software Development teams
Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
Experience establishing Agile frameworks, processes and ways of working.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and coordinate multiple delivery teams.
Confidence holding teams accountable, including software development teams, for commitments and outcomes.
Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
The ability to identify delivery risks, manage dependencies and keep teams focused on priorities.
THE BENEFITS
6-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension.
Circa $160,000 salary, plus superannuation.
