Senior Security Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and investigate suspicious activities and potential threats.

• Perform security incident investigation, analysis, containment, and remediation.

• Analyse logs, network traffic, endpoint activity, and security events.

• Operate and maintain SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, and security monitoring platforms.

• Develop and improve detection rules, alerts, and security monitoring capabilities.

• Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with relevant teams.

• Conduct threat hunting and identify indicators of compromise.

• Perform root-cause analysis and prepare incident reports.

• Monitor security posture across cloud, servers, endpoints, and network infrastructure.

• Support security audits, compliance activities, and security assessments.

• Maintain accurate security documentation, procedures, and incident records.

• Work closely with Infrastructure, DevOps, Development, and IT teams to resolve security issues.

• Participate in security improvement projects and initiatives.

• Provide technical guidance to junior security analysts when required.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, security operations, or related fields.

• Strong knowledge of SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, and incident response.

• Experience with Windows/Linux security and network security.

• Understanding of common cyber threats, attack techniques, and MITRE ATT&CK.

• Experience with log analysis, threat detection, and security investigation.

• Basic understanding of cloud security and security automation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and documentation skills.

• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CEH, or equivalent are advantageous.
