Senior Security Assessor

Summary

The Senior Security Assessor will support Defence cloud projects by developing technical assurance and security documentation to meet accreditation requirements. The role requires expert knowledge of Defence security frameworks and an active NV1 security clearance.

Our client, a Canberra based private company, require the services of multiple Senior Security Assessor's. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting Defence cloud projects by producing comprehensive security documentation necessary for the assessment and approval of cloud products in accordance with Defence policies.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Security Assessor:

  • Provide expert cyber and assurance advisory services to both the client and project teams;
  • Scope, plan, and develop the technical assurance and system security documents needed to successfully navigate Defence's assessment and authorization processes;
  • Translate complex technical, engineering, and operational inputs into structured documentation suitable for accreditation authorities and senior decision-makers;
  • Manage deliverables as assigned by the Client Engagement Lead, adhering to agreed milestone schedules;
  • Identify and escalate potential risks or delays impacting documentation timelines promptly.

Skills required:

  • Minimum AGSVA Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance required.
  • Working knowledge of Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and Information Security Manual (ISM) requirements;
