Senior Security Engineer

Summary :

Leads security engineering efforts for critical systems and services, providing technical direction and hands-on expertise in securing Tekions platforms. Partners with cross-functional teams to drive security architecture, threat detection, and proactive risk mitigation.

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Designs and implements advanced security controls across cloud infrastructure, applications, and networks.

- Leads threat modeling exercises and security design reviews for high-impact systems and services.

- Develops detection mechanisms, incident response playbooks, and remediation strategies.

- Drives automation of security operations, including monitoring, alerting, and vulnerability management.

- Collaborates with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed security into development pipelines and platform architecture.

- Mentors junior security engineers and supports technical growth across the security team.

Qualifications :

- 5 - 7 years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or infrastructure protection

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field

- Deep experience with AWS/GCP/Azure security services and infrastructure hardening

- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform)

- Proficiency with security tools (e.g., SIEMs, IDS/IPS, SAST/DAST, WAFs)

- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST)

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
