About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, growth-minded Lead Security & Low-Voltage Systems Technician to oversee and execute field operations across high-profile commercial construction and modern build-out sites. You will handle everything from structured cabling and power infrastructure to advanced cloud and on-premise security system configurations.
Key Responsibilities

Physical Security Systems: Install, terminate, configure, and service Access Control Systems (ACS), CCTV, Visitor Management Systems (VMS), and Facial Recognition platforms.

Structured Cabling & Infrastructure: Pull, dress, and terminate Cat 6, fiber optics, low-voltage power supplies (Altronix, LifeSafety Power), and perform fire alarm tie-ins on active construction sites.

Field Operations & Site Work: Conduct comprehensive site surveys, manage daily tool/ladder work safely, and lead project "sprints" to hit key client milestones.

IT & System Support: Configure local network settings, manage Windows/Linux endpoints, integrate Mobile Access credentials (iOS/Android), and assist with database reporting (SQL/APIs).

Quality & Client Representation: Serve as the technical point of contact on site, maintaining strict compliance with local codes, privacy laws, and documentation standards.
Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of hands-on field experience in low-voltage, cabling, and physical security installations.

Track Record: A proven history of long-term commitment and stability with past employers.

System Expertise: Familiarity or certification in enterprise security platforms (such as LenelS2, Genetec, Axis, Avigilon, Verkada, Brivo, or Eagle Eye).

Physical Capability: Comfortable working on active construction sites, climbing ladders, operating power tools, and lifting standard field equipment.

Networking & Hardware: Solid understanding of IP networking, hardware deployment, and basic troubleshooting across hardware/software.

Location: Must be based in or near the NYC Tri-State area with the ability to travel to local job sites.
