Senior SEO Specialist plays a critical role in growing Domain's organic visibility and traffic across our portfolio of brands. Reporting to the Lead SEO, they combine technical SEO expertise with data and content insight to identify opportunities, help prioritise the right initiatives, and work closely with Product, Design, Tech and Marketing to bring them to life.

The Senior SEO Specialist adds value by translating keyword, trend and search performance data into clear, actionable recommendations - equipping stakeholders across the business to make better editorial, product and technical decisions. They help define and execute organic search strategies for multiple brands across Domain Group, and oversee improvements to site architecture, content and keyword targeting, structured data, internal link building and more.

Domain's SEO function sits at the intersection of Product, Marketing and Technology, working to ensure Domain and its portfolio brands remain highly visible and discoverable as search behaviour evolves. The Senior SEO Specialist partners closely with the Lead SEO to train stakeholders, drive prioritisation of the SEO roadmap, and monitor day-to-day performance - helping the business respond quickly to opportunities and risks in organic search.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute organic search strategies across multiple brands, driving growth in visibility, traffic, and search performance.

  • Lead SEO initiatives including site architecture, content optimisation, keyword targeting, structured data, and link-building strategies.

  • Partner with Product, Technology, Design, Marketing, and Editorial teams to embed SEO best practices across the business.

  • Provide keyword insights, search trends, and content recommendations to support marketing campaigns and editorial planning.

  • Drive prioritisation of SEO roadmap initiatives, ensuring focus on the highest-impact opportunities.

  • Monitor SEO performance, identify issues and opportunities, and work with stakeholders to implement timely improvements.

  • Conduct site health audits, find technical blockers (indexation, site speed, architecture), and guide developers/engineers on fixes.

  • Measure and report on SEO experiments, translating results into actionable insights and future recommendations.

  • Mentor team members and deliver SEO workshops and training to build capability across both the SEO team and wider business.

Ideally you’ll have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, business or a related field

  • SEO experience: 5+ years in SEO

  • Proven success of driving organic growth for medium to large scale websites

  • Expert level use of SEO and analytics tools (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Microsoft Excel).

  • Good communication and written skills to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders and solid stakeholder management skills

  • Firm grasp of HTML/CSS/JS behaviours and site migrations

  • Familiar with AI-driven search, and generative engine optimization (GEO)

  • A “can do” attitude, deep passion and care for SEO, technology and helping Australians in their property journey

Preferred

  • Experience in real estate, property, classifieds or marketplace businesses.

  • SEO or digital marketing certifications.

  • Preferably in Sydney, Melbourne applicants are also welcomed.
