Senior Service Architect
Summary
A senior ITIL-focused role at defence technology company QinetiQ: the Service Architect designs service wrappers, support models and Service Design & Transition (SD&T) frameworks for customer solutions and managed services, leads service transitions into live operation, and acts as SME in bids. Requires deep service design/transition experience and ITIL certification.
Salary: £43,000 - 83,000 per year
Requirements:- Significant experience in Service Design Transition and Service Architecture within large, complex organisations
- Ability to mentor and lead others on the subject of service design and transition
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Previous experience converting customer business needs to solutions involving business Service Design and Portfolio Management
- Proven experience identifying improvements to service delivery and ensuring value is added to the services we provide to our customers
- Ability to influence stakeholders and engage with customers across various positions and levels
- ITIL V3/ITIL4 foundation
- ITIL V4 Managing Professional is desirable
- Work in both internal and customer-facing roles across our service portfolio to design the service wrapper for customer solutions and managed service propositions
- Work with customer-facing teams to design and deliver service integration, support, and management models to meet customer requirements and service or solution deliverables
- Lead and provide expert guidance on Service Management and Service Design & Transition across the Service Design team and wider business
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams to define service wrappers, support models, and service requirements for new customer solutions and service offerings
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in bids and proposals, identifying customer and business requirements and ensuring appropriate support models and associated costs are defined
- Develop, maintain, and promote SD&T frameworks, policies, processes, templates, and documentation to support consistent and effective project and programme delivery
- Engage and influence stakeholders to ensure SD&T processes are understood, adopted, and aligned with organisational governance requirements
- Lead the transition of services into live operation, working closely with Service Desk, Technical Operations, and SD&T colleagues to ensure operational readiness and ongoing support capability

This Senior Service Architect role is based at any of our main UK sites, with 37 hours per week, a minimum average site attendance of three days per week, and customer travel required.
