Senior / Service Engineer (Marine Engine)

Key responsibilities of the role includes:

The primary function of the role is be a specialist in Engine repairs, maintenance and service.
Support team in other products such as : boats / hooks / davits / winches / cranes

Main tasks of the role includes:

  1. Service Solutions - Engine Focus

    • Act as the local subject-matter expert and product owner for technical solutions and matters relating to marine engines.

    • Support customer engagement, both directly and indirectly, on engine-related topics across sales and service activities.

    • Provide service solutions to deck equipment and lifesaving appliances which includes commissioning, inspection, maintenance, spare parts repair, refurbishment, upgrades, hook replacement, etc.

    • Familiar with local shipyards and port procedures

    • Utilize electronic, hydraulic and mechanical theory along with related knowledge to test and modify operational machinery.

  2. Administrative

    • Complete thorough service reports to ensure all activities are documented and communicated effectively.

    • Submission of claims, overtime and overseas allowances

    • Report comments and feedback from customers to Service Coordinators or Service Manager

  3. Training

    • Attend training and ensure that the technical skills and product knowledge are kept up to date

    • Ensure the validity of relevant certifications to carry out service jobs, and renew accordingly for expiring certificates.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on PLC and HMI programming experience (Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB, Schneider)
  • Marine/offshore experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; excellent communication
  • Willingness to travel and work offshore as required
