Senior Service Now Developer
Summary
Senior developer who designs, customizes, integrates, and maintains solutions on the ServiceNow platform — including ITOM/ITAM implementations, ITIL-aligned workflows, APIs, and security/ACLs — while handling operational support and mentoring junior developers. Core stack: ServiceNow, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
Position Summary:
The ServiceNow Senior Developer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of
solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This role involves advanced customization, integration, and
maintenance of the ServiceNow environment, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with
business requirements. The Senior Developer will work closely with stakeholders to translate
business needs into technical solutions and provide technical leadership to junior developers.
Operational Support:
- Provide support for ServiceNow requests, incidents, changes and problems.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor ServiceNow performance and identify areas for optimization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent
experience.
- 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and implementation.
- Strong architectural understanding of Common Service Data Model (CSDM) as well as
Service Portfolio Management (SPM).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
- Experience with ServiceNow APIs and integration methods.
- Expertise in implementing and optimizing ITIL aligned processes to enhance service
management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Specific Technical Skills Needed:
- Must have experience in ITOM or ITAM (HAM and SAM) implementation.
- Extensive experience with ServiceNow scripting, workflows, and integrations.
- ServiceNow Administration and New Application Implementation.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow Security and Access Control (ACLs / Roles).
