Senior Signalling Commissioning Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Signalling Commissioning Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 7 months
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Experience requirements and qualifications required:
- Total experience required: Typically, 5 to 10+ years
- Relevant experience required: Proven testing and commissioning experience in the railway or transit domain
- Industry-specific experience: Specifically with signalling equipment (track circuits, point machines, signals, and interlocking)
- Minimum qualification required: A degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Electronics, Railway Systems, or a related technical discipline
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute testing and commissioning activities for railway signalling systems from the installation phase through to revenue operation.
- Prepare test procedures, method statements, and commissioning reports in compliance with company and industry guidelines.
- Analyse and resolve system malfunctions and disturbances, developing action plans to meet system performance targets.
- Liaise with technical project managers, system engineers, and customers to ensure readiness reviews are conducted and corrective actions are tracked.
- Ensure all on-site testing activities adhere to strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
Technical and domain skills:
- Hands-on experience with testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, scopemeters).
- Reading electrical circuit drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Preferred skills:
- Flexibility to work unconventional hours, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays, depending on the project's migration phases.
