  • Coordinate day-to-day engineering and technical activities across multiple disciplines to ensure alignment with project requirements, approved design criteria, engineering specifications, contractual obligations and ADNOC Gas standards.
  • Support the Lead Project Engineer in implementing the engineering execution plan, managing deliverables, monitoring engineering progress and ensuring that technical activities remain aligned with the overall project schedule and execution strategy.
  • Coordinate with discipline engineers, engineering leads, procurement, construction, planning, project controls, quality, HSE, commissioning and document control teams to facilitate timely completion of project activities.
  • Monitor engineering deliverables against approved schedules, identify outstanding documents and technical dependencies, and follow up with responsible discipline teams to ensure timely submission, review, approval and release.
  • Maintain engineering registers, technical query logs, interface registers, action trackers, engineering deliverables lists and other project records to provide accurate visibility of engineering status and outstanding issues.
  • Undertake frequent site visits to Habshan to coordinate with construction personnel, inspect field conditions, review construction progress, identify engineering constraints and facilitate timely resolution of technical issues affecting site execution.
  • Act as a key liaison between site-based construction teams and office-based engineering disciplines, ensuring that field observations, technical queries, design discrepancies and construction feedback are communicated clearly and addressed within agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate and expedite the resolution of requests for information, technical queries, field change requests, design clarifications, technical deviations and engineering-related non-conformance reports in accordance with established project procedures.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, technical documents and design deliverables for completeness, consistency and coordination, escalating technical issues to the relevant discipline leads and Lead Project Engineer.
  • Ensure that engineering deliverables are developed and issued in accordance with approved project specifications, applicable international codes and standards, ADNOC requirements, quality procedures and document control protocols.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering interfaces across process, mechanical, piping, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, control systems, telecom, fire and gas, HVAC and other applicable disciplines.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary design reviews, technical coordination meetings, constructability reviews and engineering workshops to identify design conflicts, interface gaps, installation constraints and potential construction risks.
  • Support the coordination of engineering inputs required for procurement activities, including technical requisitions, vendor documentation, technical clarifications, material specifications and equipment data, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding matters.
  • Follow up on vendor engineering documentation, review status, technical comments and approval cycles in coordination with discipline engineers and procurement personnel to avoid impacts on procurement, fabrication, delivery and installation schedules.
  • Coordinate with construction teams to ensure that approved drawings, specifications, material requirements and technical instructions are available ahead of planned site activities.
  • Identify engineering-related constraints affecting construction work fronts, including incomplete design information, material discrepancies, access limitations, technical approvals and unresolved interfaces, and coordinate corrective actions with the responsible teams.
  • Support the preparation, review and implementation of engineering schedules, look-ahead plans, deliverables forecasts and priority lists in line with construction sequencing and project milestones.
  • Monitor engineering progress and report deviations from planned targets, highlighting potential impacts on construction, procurement, cost, quality and schedule to the Lead Project Engineer and Project Manager.
  • Coordinate with planning and project controls personnel to assess the impact of engineering delays, technical changes, outstanding approvals and design revisions on the overall project programme.
  • Assist in the management of engineering changes by coordinating technical assessments, obtaining discipline inputs, documenting the rationale for proposed changes and evaluating potential impacts on scope, cost, schedule, quality, procurement and construction.
  • Support the maintenance of project risk registers and interface registers by identifying technical risks, recording constraints, tracking mitigation measures and escalating issues requiring management intervention.
  • Coordinate brownfield engineering activities, where applicable, including existing facility surveys, site verification, tie-in interfaces, design modifications and technical coordination with operations and construction teams.
  • Support engineering coordination for construction activities within or adjacent to operating gas processing facilities, ensuring that technical solutions account for operational constraints, safety requirements and applicable permit-to-work and SIMOPS arrangements.
  • Work closely with HSE and process safety teams to ensure that engineering activities address identified hazards, design risks, safety study recommendations and relevant operational integrity requirements.
  • Ensure engineering-related quality issues are documented, communicated and resolved through the approved quality management system, including appropriate closure of technical comments, non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate the preparation and closure of engineering actions arising from project meetings, technical reviews, site inspections, design reviews, client comments and construction coordination sessions.
