Job Description

We are looking for experienced Senior Snowflake Developers with 810 years of hands-on experience in Snowflake Data Warehousing, SQL, ETL/ELT development, and cloud data platforms for freelance, part-time project support.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and user-defined functions.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines for data integration and transformation.
• Work with Snowflake architecture, virtual warehouses, databases, schemas, and tables.
• Implement data loading and unloading using SnowSQL, Snowpipe, and COPY INTO.
• Integrate Snowflake with AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms.
• Develop data transformation workflows using Python and SQL.
• Optimize query performance and manage Snowflake warehouse costs.
• Implement data security, access controls, and role-based permissions.
• Work with data modeling, data migration, and data quality processes.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and optimize existing data solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and development teams.
• Provide technical support for ongoing Snowflake projects.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Snowflake Data Warehousing and Development.
• Advanced SQL, complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and cloud data warehouse concepts.
• ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline development.
• Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and COPY INTO.
• Snowflake integration with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Python programming and scripting.
• Data modeling – Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Dimensional Modeling.
• Experience with dbt, Informatica, Matillion, or Fivetran preferred.
• Knowledge of data security, RBAC, and data governance.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD processes.
• SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced certification preferred.
