Senior Software Architect — Agentic AI Engineering

Senior Software Architect — Agentic AI Engineering
About the Role PrismHR is the technology engine behind Vensure Employer Solutions, powering the payroll, benefits administration, and compliance systems that businesses depend on every day. We're looking for a Senior Software Architect to take ownership of the architecture vision across this platform — with a specific mandate to bring genuine agentic AI engineering into how our products work — and drive how it evolves as we build the next generation of SaaS capability. This is a hands-on, high-trust role. You'll work directly with developers, QA, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and senior executives to shape both near-term features and long-term technical direction. You'll be expected to move fluidly between whiteboard architecture sessions, hands-on prototyping, and boardroom conversations about technology strategy.
The Real Challenge of This Role You will not be architecting a system you built. You'll be stepping into an existing, mission-critical platform — one with real history, real constraints, and real people who know it deeply. Your job is to learn it fast, earn the trust of the teams who live in it every day, and turn what you learn from developers, QA, BAs, and Product Owners into sound architectural decisions and new feature designs that improve the experience for the customers who rely on our payroll, benefits, and compliance systems. No one will be holding your hand. You'll need to be comfortable figuring things out — diagnosing ambiguity, asking the right people the right questions, and driving toward a working answer — largely on your own initiative.
What You'll Do • Create high-quality, working prototypes and proofs of concept to guide development teams. • Partner with other architects to build and maintain an architecture vision and roadmap for the PrismHR platform. • Work with executive management to shape technology strategy, weighing both technical and business trends. • Partner with product leaders to design applications that support the product roadmap. • Drive design and integration of major new capabilities into the product line alongside senior developers, balancing long-term architectural soundness with short-term market needs and security. • Lead, coach, and develop architects and software developers, raising the bar for how high-quality software gets built.
What We're Looking For • A proven, practicing Software Architect — you've held architect-level scope and title for multiple recent years, not a senior engineer looking to make the jump into architecture for the first time. This role's scope is genuinely demanding, and we need someone who has already done this job successfully. • Demonstrated success learning systems you didn't build — you can point to real examples of joining an existing codebase or platform, getting up to speed quickly by working closely with the people who know it, and successfully architecting or delivering on it. • Deep technical-to-business translation skills — you're able to sit with stakeholders who describe a need in business terms and turn that into sound, deliberate technical decisions. • Balanced, full-application understanding — you understand how the frontend, backend, data layer, and infrastructure all fit together, and you don't default to a frontend- or backend-only lens when architecting a solution. • 10+ years of software development experience across the full SaaS development lifecycle, with a strong grasp of Agile methods and experience leading development teams in an Agile environment. • Genuine agentic AI engineering experience — this is the core requirement for this role. We need someone who has designed and built systems where multiple AI agents work together in an orchestrated workflow to accomplish something for an end user. Using AI tools to code faster, brainstorm, or research is valuable but is not what this requirement means — we're specifically looking for hands-on experience building agent-based frameworks, orchestration patterns, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and working with protocols like MCP. • Data engineering and pipeline experience for AI/ML — particularly with vector and hybrid databases, and pipelines that feed large language or predictive models. • Fluency across our broader technology stack — Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and ASP.NET Core — along with DevOps practices (containers, configuration management, monitoring, deployment automation), streaming/messaging technologies (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar), and cloud deployment/troubleshooting on Azure or AWS. • Comfort using AI-assisted development tooling (such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code) in your own day-to-day work — this is a baseline expectation, distinct from the agentic engineering requirement above. • A genuine interest in legacy modernization and familiarity with emerging open-source technologies. • Strong leadership and communication skills — you can operate credibly with individual developers, senior engineers, and executives alike. • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience. • Based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh and available on-site for a split shift aligned to 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, to overlap with US-based stakeholders.
Why Join Us • Shape the architecture of a platform that's core to how thousands of businesses run payroll, benefits, and compliance. • Real influence — from whiteboard to boardroom — over how agentic AI gets built into a platform millions of end users touch. • Ground-floor ownership of what genuine agentic engineering looks like across our product line, not a bolt-on AI feature. • A technical leadership role with genuine autonomy and executive visibility.
