Our client is looking for a highly capable Senior Software Developer who doesn't just ship code but architect systems, owns outcomes, and mentors others. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build scalable solutions while shaping technical direction.
Responsibilities Build across our tech stack: develop cloud services in AWS using Terraform and Python, build custom front ends with modern Java Script frameworks including Vue.js and native Android, and maintain and enhance applications in Zoho Creator (Deluge). Coach and lead developers: mentor a talented team, elevate engineering standards, improve best practices, and shape developer culture. Advise on architecture and Dev Ops: play a leading role in designing and evolving systems, architect web and native applications with complex external integrations, ensuring resilience, scalability, and long-term efficiency. Technical Expertise & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Java Script, Python, or similar languages. Experience with backend frameworks such as Fast API. Hands‑on experience managing databases, compute infrastructure, and external integrations. Experience with Vue.js or UX design is a strong plus. Proven ability to design resilient web and native applications. Experience building systems with complex external integrations. Strong understanding of scalable and efficient system design. Experience with Test‑Driven Development (TDD). Familiarity with AWS cloud architecture. Ability to establish strong developer workflows and standards. 6+ years of relevant software development experience.Reference Number: GZ61070. Permanent position based in Cape Town.
