Senior Software Developer

Summary

Designs and builds scalable distributed systems for cybersecurity SaaS, mentors engineers, and integrates AI tools into daily workflows using Python and Kubernetes.

Major Responsibilities

  • Own system design and architecture decisions across your team's services, partnering with product managers and architects to turn business requirements into solid, scalable technical designs
  • Mentor developers through code review, pairing, and ongoing technical guidance, and help shape their growth as engineers
  • Partner with DevOps/SRE and platform teams to design and run services in customers environments.
  • Bring AI tools into the team's daily work - coding assistants, automated review, test generation - and keep exploring new ones yourself
  • Set the bar for engineering practices across the team: testing, code quality, technical documentation, and CI/CD

Must Have

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 1+ years mentoring developers or setting technical direction for a team
  • Strong system design skills, with a track record of owning architecture decisions for complex, high-scale distributed systems
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS or similar), including deploying, operating, and troubleshooting containerized services at scale
  • Strong backend programming skills in Python
  • Daily, hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar), and genuine curiosity to keep learning new ones
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, reliability-first mindset across product, architecture, and cross-functional partners

Nice to Have

  • Experience in cyber security, threat intelligence, or another high-scale enterprise SaaS domain
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack, and defining SLOs
  • Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka) and caching layers (Redis)
  • Experience acting as a technical point of contact or escalation point across multiple teams
