  • Build and support the Insightly CRM platform using MVC, .NET Framework 4.8, and AWS services.
  • Work in an existing codebase from the first week, reading unfamiliar code and making safe changes rather than focusing on greenfield design.
Responsibilities:

  • Write modular, testable code and provide thoughtful code reviews.
  • Build and support solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and DynamoDB.

  • Use TeamCity, Octopus, Datadog, Raygun, Papertrail, and CloudWatch to support safe deployments.
  • Apply web application security and performance practices, including mitigation of common vulnerabilities.
  • Break complex problems into well-scoped tasks and provide accurate estimates.
  • Support onboarding and knowledge sharing for newer developers through code reviews and pairing, without people management responsibilities.
  • Participate in two-week Release Developer and Production On-Call rotations once production access is approved.
  • Until production access is approved, focus on features, code reviews, and business-hours support.
  • Coordinate release builds, ensure changes merge on time, and deploy to production as the Release Developer.
  • Respond to PagerDuty and Slack alerts as the Production On-Call first responder, with a 15-minute response time before escalation to engineering leadership.
  • Follow existing playbooks for alerts; some alerts require monitoring only.
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production software.
  • Strong full-stack experience with C# and MVC, including .NET Framework 4.8 and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Hands-on AWS experience with at least two of Lambda, S3, EC2, and DynamoDB.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, production monitoring, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with 24/7 on-call rotations and production incident response.
  • Experience working in a large existing codebase written by others.
  • Experience mentoring or leading less experienced developers.
  • Ability to work a full Pacific Time business day with the team.
Nice to Have
  • TeamCity, Octopus, PagerDuty, and Datadog experience.
  • Experience modernizing legacy .NET Framework code toward modern .NET.
  • Experience with Windows-hosted .NET applications alongside AWS services.
  • CRM or B2B SaaS platform experience.
  • Experience designing APIs alongside a mobile team.
