Senior Software Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our R&D Software team in Örebro. In this role, you will be involved in the development of advanced control systems and autonomous functions for surface drilling rigs. You will work with modern technologies, primarily C++ for backend development and React/TypeScript for user interface development.

This position is ideal for a developer who combines strong technical expertise with a systems-thinking mindset, values software quality, and enjoys solving complex engineering challenges in a collaborative environment.

Tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain control systems and autonomous functionalities for surface drilling equipment.
• Develop and enhance backend applications using C++.
• Build and maintain user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system engineers, product owners, and end users.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to testing and deployment.
• Ensure high standards of software quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote best development practices.
• Work within agile development processes and contribute actively to team ceremonies and planning activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant experience in software development, preferably within industrial automation, embedded systems, or complex technical environments.
• Strong proficiency in C++ development.
• Experience developing modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, and system integration.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality software solutions in complex technical environments.
• Experience working within agile development teams.
