Senior Software Developer – DevOps / Java / Cloud / RPA

Role Overview

The Senior Software Developer will design, develop, and support enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications and DevOps pipelines within an Azure environment. The role combines full-stack development, DevOps engineering, cloud architecture, and automation, with a strong emphasis on production support, system reliability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. DevOps & CI/CD Engineering

• Design, build, and administer CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  
• Automate code integration, testing, deployment, and infrastructure management
  
• Manage source control and build tools (Git, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes)
  
• Implement containerization and orchestration strategies (AKS)
  

2. Application Development & Integration

• Design and develop scalable microservices using Java/JEE and Spring Boot
  
• Build and integrate REST/SOAP APIs across enterprise systems
  
• Develop frontend applications using React/Angular and modern web technologies
  
• Implement secure authentication/authorization (IAM, OAuth)
  

3. Cloud & Production Support

• Monitor and optimize application performance in Azure cloud environments
  
• Diagnose and resolve deployment and production issues
  
• Support live production systems and ensure high availability and reliability
  
• Implement application monitoring and operational procedures
  

4. Automation, RPA & AI/ML Solutions

• Develop automation solutions using Power Automate, Logic Apps, and RPA tools
  
• Implement OCR, document processing, and AI/ML-based solutions
  
• Work with Azure AI services (Document Intelligence, Cognitive Search, OpenAI)
  
• Integrate low-code and enterprise systems for end-to-end automation
  

5. Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute unit, integration, and performance test plans
  
• Use tools such as Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI, and JMeter
  
• Ensure adherence to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0/2.1 AA)
  

6. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Document development tasks, timelines, and solution designs (SDD)
  
• Provide technical documentation and reporting
  
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for technical staff
  

7. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with business and IT teams across SDLC
  
• Establish communication and reporting processes for stakeholders
  
• Provide regular updates on deliverables, risks, and milestones
  

Requirements

Must-Have Capabilities (Production-Focused DevOps)

• Incident Management & RCA: Rapid troubleshooting and root cause analysis of production issues
  
• Cloud Expertise: Strong knowledge of Azure (or AWS/GCP) infrastructure, networking, and security
  
• CI/CD & Automation: Experience with pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible preferred)
  
• Monitoring & Observability: Performance tuning, logging, and system reliability optimization
  
• Collaboration: Lead postmortems, recommend improvements, and work across teams
  

Required Skills & Experience

1. DevOps

• 5+ years with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools
  
• Experience with Git, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes
  
• Expertise in container orchestration and deployment automation
  
• API integration experience
  
• Strong knowledge of security and architectural best practices
  

2. Java, Web Services & Cloud

• 10+ years developing Java/JEE applications and microservices
  
• Strong experience with Spring Framework, REST/SOAP APIs
  
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging systems
  
• Frontend development with React/Angular, HTML/CSS, JSON/XML
  
• Experience deploying containerized apps using Docker & AKS
  
• Knowledge of IAM, OAuth, and secure application design
  
• Experience building WCAG-compliant applications
  

3. RPA, AI/ML & Low-Code

• Experience with AI/ML tools (Azure AI, OpenAI, Cognitive Search, OCR)
  
• Knowledge of document processing and model training
  
• 5+ years with Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop flows)
  
• Experience with Logic Apps and end-to-end automation solutions
  
• Ability to design and document Solution Design Documents (SDD)
  

4. Testing & Reporting

• Experience in unit, integration, and performance testing
  
• Tools: Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI, JMeter
  
• Experience with Power BI for reporting and analytics
