Senior Software Developer

Summary

Develop secure embedded systems using C and Python, focusing on Linux kernel, container security, and network stack management for a cybersecurity product company.

Salary: £47,000 - 87,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience scripting in Python in an embedded context.
  • C programming experience is useful.
  • Experience managing process and container privileges and security.
  • Understanding of Linux security rules and network stacks.
  • Familiarity with the Linux kernel.
  • Experience working on complex, multi-component projects using multiple development languages.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems with demanding requirements in innovative, practical ways.
  • Bonus: knowledge of Windows development.
  • Bonus: knowledge of secure-boot technologies and digital signatures.
  • Bonus: familiarity with the full stack from device drivers to client-side tools and API libraries.
  • Bonus: knowledge of hardware protocols.
  • Bonus: open-source software development experience as a licensee or contributor.
  • Bonus: broad interest in cryptography and/or computer security techniques.
  • Bonus: experience with Agile and/or SAFe.
Responsibilities:
  • Play a significant role in the design and development of our full system with embedded HSMs, client-side tools, and API libraries.
  • Develop features from inception to delivery.
