About the Role
The Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, maintaining and supporting software across epay ANZ transaction processing platforms. The role is focused on building new capabilities and enhancing existing products and services that support retail, e-commerce and mobile channels.
Design, code, test and debug complex software while developing new functionality and enhancing existing functionality.
Develop, maintain and support internal systems that enable efficient business processes and resilient technology operations.
Partner with stakeholders to deliver technology projects on time, within scope, and aligned to business requirements.
Design, develop and maintain applications and integrations, including APIs and data solutions across internal and external systems.
Contribute to platform and architecture decisions, helping shape scalable, fit-for-purpose technology solutions and roadmaps.
Ensure high-quality, secure and reliable systems through testing, performance optimisation, monitoring, and ongoing support practices.
Champion modern development practices, including AI-assisted development, automation, and collaboration with global teams and technology partners to drive successful outcome
About you
5 to 10+ years building production backend services, end-to-end.
5+ years in a similar role
Strong backend proficiency in C# / .NET.
Strong MS SQL and relational database fundamentals.
Experience writing and maintaining tests.
Experience building and consuming Web APIs.
Strong system design experience, including thick database architectures and microservices.
Experience in loyalty, payments, e-commerce or another regulated industry is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using project management and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence is preferred
