About the role

Job Title: Senior Software Developer (Full-Stack) – AI-First

Experience Level: Senior (5+ years of software development experience, including at least 1 year of continuous production use of AI coding assistants)

Work Model AI-First: Utilizing AI coding agents as primary tools for development, testing, debugging, and code review

Reports To: Technical Lead / Project Manager

Collaborates With: System Analysts (SA), Business Analysts (BA), UX/UI Designers, QA/UAT Teams

Tracks Accepted: Full-Stack, or specialization in Backend (.NET) or Frontend (React)

Key Responsibilities

  • AI-First Core Development: Develop web applications across all 3 systems (BPP, iMaster, iGarantee) according to specifications and Common Design standards. Leverage AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to generate code from specifications and reference implementations, while personally verifying, refining, and maintaining full ownership of code quality.

  • Backend Development (C# .NET): Build Web APIs, business logic, and shared services by prompting AI to scaffold Controllers, Services, Repositories, DTOs, and input validation aligned with project architectural patterns.

  • Frontend Development (React): Build user interfaces matching Figma designs and interface standards (field formats, modal/message boxes, sorting, pagination, etc.). Use AI to translate Figma designs/specifications into reusable components and verify pixel accuracy.

  • Database Management: Write queries and stored procedures on Microsoft SQL Server. Optimize database performance by leveraging AI to analyze execution plans and suggest index/query tuning strategies.

  • AI-Assisted Issue & Bug Resolution (SIT/UAT): Receive defect tickets from SAs, utilize AI to parse logs and stack traces, pinpoint root causes in the codebase, propose fixes, and generate unit/regression tests to validate fixes before returning to SA for retesting.

  • Code Quality Assurance: Leverage AI to write unit tests, perform preliminary code reviews, verify coding standards, enforce naming conventions, and check against OWASP security baselines before submitting Pull Requests. Refactor code for long-term maintainability.

  • Build & Maintain Development AI Assets: Create and maintain project-level instruction files (such as .cursorrules, project instructions), system prompts, and templates to ensure AI-generated output adheres to project standards; continuously update them as architecture evolves.

  • Technical Co-Design with SA/Tech Lead: Use AI to benchmark technical trade-offs, evaluate architectural impact on legacy codebases, and draft technical documentation.

  • Mentoring: Coach junior developers on modern engineering practices, with a focus on safe, effective, and disciplined AI agent workflows.

  • CI/CD & Deployment Support: Assist deployment across CI/CD pipelines and generate supporting documentation (using AI to draft release notes and technical runbooks).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

  • At least 5 years of professional web application development experience.

  • At least 1 year of continuous hands-on experience using AI coding assistants/agents in production: Able to present concrete artifacts (e.g., a repository or feature co-developed with AI, custom rules/prompts used) and articulate how AI-generated code quality and security are verified.

  • Proficiency with Agentic AI workflows: Hands-on experience with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor Agent, or GitHub Copilot Agent for multi-file, multi-step orchestration (ingesting specs generating code running test suites iterative debugging), with knowledge of how to safely scope tasks.

  • Prompt & Context Engineering skills: Ability to supply complete context, code references, design patterns, and acceptance criteria to LLMs to yield deterministic, high-quality results.

  • Critical Code Review ability: Sharp eye for subtle logic bugs, security vulnerabilities, hallucinated/outdated libraries, and anti-patterns; strictly avoids pushing code without complete personal comprehension.

  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6/8), RESTful Web API architecture, and Entity Framework.

  • Strong proficiency in React (Function Components, Hooks, State Management such as Redux/Context), JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.

  • Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including complex T-SQL queries and stored procedure optimization.

  • Proven command of Git version control and team-based workflows (branching models, Pull Requests, peer reviews).

  • Solid understanding of RESTful architecture, authentication/authorization mechanisms (JWT/OAuth), and systems integration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience integrating AI into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., automated AI code reviews on PRs, automated test generation, or Model Context Protocol [MCP]/connectors bridging AI with Jira, Git, or databases).

  • Experience integrating or building features using AI APIs (e.g., Claude API, OpenAI / Azure OpenAI) or implementing RAG / LLM-based architectures.

  • Domain knowledge in government systems, state enterprises, or e-Procurement platforms.

  • Hands-on experience with Microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

  • Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure / AWS) and application security hardening (OWASP Top 10).

  • Experience working under both traditional Waterfall (SDLC milestone deliveries) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Technical Skills & Tooling

  • Primary AI Tools: Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot (Chat & Agent), ChatGPT; Project Rules/Instructions configuration; AI-assisted Testing & Code Review; foundational MCP / AI API integration.

  • Backend: C#, .NET Core / .NET 6/8, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework Core, LINQ.

  • Frontend: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Redux/Context API, Responsive UI.

  • Database: Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Query Optimization & Execution Plans.

  • DevOps & Engineering Tools: Git, CI/CD, Docker, Postman/Swagger, Unit Testing frameworks (xUnit/NUnit/Jest).

Soft Skills

  • Accountability & Quality Ownership: Extreme ownership of code correctness, maintainability, and security—regardless of whether written manually or AI-generated.

  • Curiosity & Rapid Adaptability: Proactively explores emerging AI tools, runs practical experiments, and shares best practices across the team.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Clear, effective technical communication with both engineering and business stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving: Structured root-cause analysis, pragmatic judgment, and effective task prioritization.

  • Mentorship: Passion for guiding and elevating junior engineers' technical and AI competencies.

Application & Selection Process

  1. Application Submission: Submit your resume along with at least one portfolio artifact co-developed with AI (e.g., technical specification, test suite, public/sanitized repository, or system rules/prompts) accompanied by a brief summary explaining how AI was utilized and how code quality was validated.

  2. Technical Deep-Dive Interview: A comprehensive discussion covering daily AI-assisted engineering workflows, context engineering approaches, and code verification strategies.

  3. Practical Live Coding Assessment: A 60–90 minute live practical session using your preferred AI coding tools to solve a problem modeled directly after real-world project tasks.
