Our client, a well-established financial technology company, is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Developer with strong Java expertise to join their dynamic development team in Mahikeng, North West. This role is integral to designing, developing, and maintaining robust enterprise-level applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable enterprise applications using Java. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards. Develop and integrate RESTful web services. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems. Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Stay up-to-date with new technology trends and best practices in software development. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of professional experience in software development. Strong proficiency in Java and its associated frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot). Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and SQL. Familiarity with front-end technologies is a plus. Experience with version control systems, specifically Git. Understanding of software design patterns and principles.
