Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Ruby, Kotlin, Kafka, and mobile application development. The ideal candidate should have experience developing scalable backend services, building mobile applications, integrating distributed systems, and delivering reliable, high-performance software solutions.

The candidate will contribute to backend engineering, mobile application development, system integration, architecture discussions, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Ruby.
• Develop and maintain mobile applications using Android technologies, including Kotlin, and/or other relevant mobile frameworks.
• Implement and maintain REST APIs and integrations between mobile applications and backend systems.
• Work with Apache Kafka for event-driven communication, messaging, and distributed application workflows.
• Contribute to application architecture, system design, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, QA, and DevOps.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Support application scalability, reliability, security, and performance improvements.

Mandatory Skills:

812 years of relevant software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java.
• Professional experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin and/or relevant mobile development technologies.
• Professional mobile application development experience is mandatory.
• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven or messaging-based systems.
• Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of databases, distributed systems, and software architecture.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and production troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with native Android and/or iOS development.
• Exposure to React Native or other cross-platform mobile frameworks.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Elixir.
• Experience developing high-scale, distributed, or data-intensive applications.
