Senior Software Developer
Summary
The Senior Software Developer will build and maintain pre-trade applications for investment banking, focusing on RFQ workflows and real-time pricing. The role requires expertise in Angular 19+, Python, and microservices architecture to support banking operations.
This role aims to develop an application in project mode as well as maintenance, and to support the "run the bank" function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. The developer will work on the pre-trade application used by Sales to pre-book and book Rates deals. Key activities include developing features that facilitate RFQ workflows between Sales and Traders, enabling efficient communication and deal negotiation. The role involves implementing real-time pricing, deal validation logic, and ensuring seamless integration with downstream booking systems.
Key responsibilities
- Lead in terms of technology and conceptualize, propose design and architectural evolution, along with operational model
- Contribute to development of high quality fully tested source code complying with deadlines, schedule and coding standards
- Liaise with business analysts for clarification and understanding of requirements
- Provide deployment and change management of the solution/platform
- Develop tests strategy in coordination with project manager / Business Analysts
- Communicate effectively with business users and other IT teams
- Analyse enhancement requests and bug-fixes
- Support applications in production - analyze and resolve issues as they arise as well as propose optimizations for future
- Apply monthly release strategy, following the team's milestones for analysis, coding and testing
About you
- Master or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or Science (Computer Studies)
- At least 5+ years of relevant front-end development experience
- Advanced proficiency in Angular 19+
- Deep knowledge of AG Grid, NgRx store, Angular signals, and signal store
- Strong sensitivity to design and UX principles
- Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing Angular development best practices
- Experience with Python, REST APIs, and FastAPI
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture
- Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, Maven, and Git
- Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures, with strong fundamentals in complexity analysis
