My client is looking for Senior Software Developer, based in Cape Town (V&A Waterfront), with a Hybrid (50%) work model.
- 6+ years software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, FastAPI, Vue.js, AWS, Test-Driven Development, database management, and external integrations.
- Experience designing and building cloud-based solutions (AWS preferred).
- Strong understanding of backend frameworks (FastAPI essential) and modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js beneficial).
- Experience with architecture design, devops practices, and scalable systems.
- Ability to work across full stack: cloud services (Terraform + Python), multiple custom front-ends (JS frameworks), Android, and Zoho Creator/Deluge.
- Bachelor’s degree required (no diplomas), with strong academic performance.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and leading developers.
- Experience in test-driven development and resilient system design.
- Must be comfortable owning commercial outcomes, not just coding tasks.
- Hybrid work required (no fully remote).
