Senior Software Development Engineer - Security - IDAM
Summary
Builds and secures identity and access management services using OIDC, Kerberos, and internal auth systems to protect Criteo’s engineering platforms.
What You’ll Do
The IDAM (Identity and Access Management) team is part of Criteo’s Security group and builds the authentication and access management foundations for internal R&D platforms and services. We work on browser-based and server-to-server authentication flows, identity lifecycle management, token exchange, and secure access for both user and service accounts — including internal MCP servers. Our ecosystem includes technologies such as Active Directory, Kerberos, OIDC, and internally developed authentication and access management solutions. The team focuses on building scalable, reliable, and secure identity services that are critical for engineering productivity and platform security across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Own feature delivery end-to-end, including requirements clarification, design, implementation, deployment, and operational support;
- Design, develop, review, test, and maintain scalable and reliable software services;
- Build and operate production systems with strong focus on availability, performance, observability, and security;
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and Infrastructure as Code solutions;
- Improve system reliability through monitoring, automation, troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis;
- Collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to deliver resilient and maintainable solutions;
- Contribute to architecture decisions, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of development and infrastructure practices;
- Support and mentor team members by sharing knowledge and engineering best practices.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, SRE, or related engineering roles;
- Strong software development skills using languages such as Python, Java, C#, Go, or similar;
- Experience building backend services, REST APIs, and distributed systems;
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS), and production environments;
- Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform;
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Sentry, or similar;
- Good understanding of system reliability, scalability, automation, and operational best practices;
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem‑solving skills with ownership mindset;
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working independently in cross‑functional environments;
- Fluent spoken and written English.
