Senior Software Development Manager
You lead engineering execution for enterprise financial systems, building and scaling applications for payments, invoicing, revenue recognition, and deal execution. You drive technical strategy, design secure backend and frontend systems, architect AWS infrastructure, manage engineers, and deliver reliable, compliant services across financial platforms.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of scalable backend services for payments, revenue recognition, and financial workflows
- Lead end-to-end development of backend services and frontend applications
- Design APIs, data models, and UI integrations
- Provide full-stack ownership across key financial systems
- Lead integrations across the deal-to-cash ecosystem
- Define service boundaries, reliability SLAs, and domain models
- Architect cloud-native systems on AWS
- Embed security-first principles across system design and development
- Implement IAM, encryption, and auditable data flows
- Lead service hardening, secure CI/CD, secret management, and risk mitigation
- Ensure platform components meet internal controls and compliance standards
- Manage and grow backend and platform engineers
- Drive roadmap execution and complex cross-functional initiatives
- Partner with product, architecture, vendors, and finance stakeholders
- Translate financial and contractual rules into reusable service logic
- Drive quality, automation, and performance
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years leading backend or platform teams or delivering complex financial systems
- Backend engineering expertise with Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL or equivalent
- AWS architecture
- Infrastructure as Code experience such as Terraform
- Event-driven systems and microservice architectures
- Systems with high audit and compliance requirements
- Enterprise platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Concur, or Stripe
- Data modeling and transactional workflows
- Secure service architecture
- Financial systems including payments, trust accounting, GL integration, and revenue recognition
- Serverless architecture and Function-as-a-Service patterns
- Multi-party payments, invoicing workflows, and tax handling
- Data privacy requirements including PII, GDPR, and CCPA
