Senior Software Engineer Accounting and Ledger Systems

You will design and extend core ledger systems covering accounts, postings, and ledger structures. You will own chart-of-accounts and reporting capabilities, verify and reconcile balances, connect on-chain data with off-chain books, review financial system designs, and create extensible models for new products such as lending, staking, and tokenized assets.
Responsibilities
- Design and extend core ledger systems
- Own the chart of accounts and reporting surface
- Verify and reconcile on-chain and off-chain balances
- Design financial models for new product features
- Review technical designs across multiple systems
- Collaborate on shared designs with Finance Data Engineering and Product
Requirements
- Working knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping
- Knowledge of chart-of-accounts design
- Understanding of financial statements including P&L and balance sheets
- Understanding of reconciliation and audit requirements
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Experience owning data-model design for correctness-critical systems
- Strong extensible system design skills
- Ability to critique technical designs across multiple systems
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
